PARIZAD SADADI

PARIZAD SADADI IN PARSFORTE WINTER 2022

Wounds shape us. Deep pains influence our lives, change our appearance forever, and profoundly affect our mood. Breast cancer is one of those pains that inadvertently change our lives forever. The photo of a woman named Jill was photographed in a breast cancer photography project in London. I painted her because of the inspiring pain, sadness, power, and beauty from her picture.

Combining different styles is one of my favorite ideas in the art world. I combine traditional Iranian designs with an English coat in this gilet, including a jacquard fabric with cashmere design and a simple black fabric suitable for the essential gilet. In addition, the lapel of this menswear item is inspired by the peak lapel, designed to coordinate with the spiral designs of the fabric text in a crescent shape. This lapel is a half lapel visible on the front of the gilet. The small pocket is sewn to hold the pochette on the left side of the gilet. Men can wear this gilet in formal ceremonies due to the type and design of the fabric and the lapel style.
